About the Panelists

Thomas Lim - Head of Sun Entertainment Culture Los Angeles

Born and raised in Singapore, Thom directed, wrote, and produced Roulette City and Sea of Mirrors in Macau during his early years. Both titles had successful theatrical release and received immense press coverage in the region.

Thomas is now Head of Sun Entertainment Culture Los Angeles, which is a prominent Hong Kong company and has produced commercially successful films such as SPL 2, Paradox, and Operation Mekong.

He is currently producing, writing, and will direct our first Singaporean-US co-production film about an Indian-Singaporean girl who runs away from an arranged marriage to pursue her ballet dreams in America.

Dongyang (Patrick) Liu - Head of Overseas Operations of Sansang Media

A professional novel and screenplay writer with a background in Chinese literature, Patrick Liu specializes in International IP localization. Projects he led by bridging U.S and Chines studios include Burning Ice (Sansang Media/Netflix), Drug War (Sansang Media/Amazon Prime), and more. He also served as a screenwriter on a 65-episode TV Series The Gods which was premiered on Hunan TV, now can also be found on iQiyi, Youku, and Tencent.

Winnie Wei Wei - Senior Consultant, North America, Ent Group

Winnie is a veteran of the Chinese Entertainment industry who brought her expertise to the United States where she obtained her MBA from USC. Winnie’s experience includes magazines, television and film as well as working with the largest entertainment data provider in China, Ent Group. Her knowledge of the intricacies of the Chinese entertainment market is extensive.

Jennifer Mangan is a writer/producer who owns the independent production company Beautiful Day Productions that focuses on material that uplifts and empowers women through Comedy and Sci-Fi/Fantasy. She co-founded and produced the Women In Film Mini-Upfronts and is the co-founder and moderator of the panel series Business of Creating.  

Jennifer is currently developing sci-fi/fantasy television show Animal Magnetism with EP Randy Greenberg (The Meg).
